From the first crop of Kia Ora Stud's Group 1 Golden Slipper winner Farnan, whose first crop yearlings have sold up to $1.2m so far this season, Lot 166 is a bay colt out of the Starcraft mare Champagne Jane, herself a half-sister to fellow Mill Park graduate Run Fox Run, a Group 1 winner in South Africa, and also a half to the Listed winner Guard Of Honour.

Champagne Jane is the dam of three to race, all winners including the Group 3 placed Pimm's Party from the family of Group 1 winner Serious Speed and the Listed winners Reldas and Victory Chant.

Starcraft is the broodmare sire of 25 stakes performers including Group 1 winners Skew Wiff, Stronger and the Mill Park foaled and raised Instant Celebrity. Interestingly, both Stronger and Instant Celebrity are by Not A Single Doubt, who is the sire of this colt's sire Farnan.
