Young horsewoman Sara Ryan has trained in her own name for less than 18 months, but this afternoon achieved the biggest win of her burgeoning career when 5YO Inglis Easter Yearling Sale graduate Attractable (I Am Invincible) took out the $3m The Big Dance over the famed mile at Royal Randwick.
Prominent throughout, Attractable galloped relentlessly down the Randwick straight to see off Cepheus and another Inglis runner, $20,000 Classic Sale graduate, Super Helpful.
The win of Attractable continues the early monopoly that graduates of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale have on the lucrative feature race, coming 12 months after the win of another Easter sale graduate, Rustic Steel (Deep Field), in the inaugural running of the race in 2022.

“I rode him yesterday and he tried to kill me so I knew he was ready for today,” said trainer Ryan post race.
“He’s just one of those horses, he thinks he’s a comedian, he had a good buck, had a good play coming off the track and that’s when I know he’s right. He thinks he is hilarious, I don’t.
“But this horse, he gives his heart every time he races and that’s why I love him so much.”
Attractable, bred by Simon Raleigh of TJS Bloodstock, was purchased by Domeland for $290,000 from the draft of Mill Park Stud at the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, which was conduced as a virtual sale as a result of the COVID pandemic.
For Chris Watson of Mill Park Stud, the success of Attractable comes as no surprise and continues a staggering run for horses raised at the South Australian nursery, joining fellow Inglis graduates Attrition, Air Assault and Arctic Glamour as feature race winners this Spring.
“He was a handsome colt, with plenty of length, but not a sharp, precocious sort and it stands to reason that he is showing his best now, as an older horse,” said Watson.
“It was great judgement from the Domeland team to buy him at a time when acquiring bloodstock wasn’t easy and they have managed him very well.”
For Domeland representative King Cheng, the result was fitting reward for the work of Ryan and her team.
“My Dad bought him online during the virtual Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in 2020,” said Cheng
“These silks have been very successful over the years, particularly in the ‘90’s, but this is by the far the biggest win that they have enjoyed in terms of prizemoney – it’s incredible!
“It’s not easy to build a racing stable from scratch as we have done, so I am just so proud of Sara and the whole team and hopefully we can look forward to many more good days.
“Each year, we mark off the dates of the Inglis Yearling Sales as important dates, particularly the Easter Yearling Sale, which is the premier source of elite bloodstock in Australia and this horse is yet further proof of that.”
Attractable earned $1.56m for his win, to bring his career earnings past the $2.05m mark, with 8 wins from 23 starts.
